On September 7th 2024 we had stall in Bedford Square, Tavistock in support of Palestine. There was a petition asking the government to stop exporting arms to Israel. This was sent to David Lammy.
On Saturday August 3rd 2024 Tavistock Peace Action Group was in Bedford Square, Tavistock to commemorate the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
On May 18th 2024 we had stall in Bedford Square, Tavistock in support of Palestine. There was a petition asking the government to call for a ceasefire in Gaza and to stop exporting arms to Israel. This petition gathered over 100 signatures and was sent to Geoffrey Cox MP.
Tavistock Peace Action Group will be holding a ‘Ceasefire in Gaza’ vigil every Friday in 2024 between 4 and 5 pm in Bedford Square, Tavistock until there is a permanent ceasefire. All welcome to join us.
There was a very successful public talk ‘Militarism and Climate Change’ by Tom Unterrainer, chair of CND, on Wednesday, February 7th 2024.
